Chairman's Massage

Formed by a few like-minded people during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, iDEA, a non-profit development organization, aims to make positive contributions towards achieving a sustainable Bangladesh. The war-torn and impoverished country that started its journey half a century ago is now envy of the sub-continent, making a substantially greater progress than its peers in socioeconomic development. The journey towards the progress has not been smooth and the nation has faced almost unsurmountable impediments in many areas—economic, political, social and health to name a few. But at the end, we came out victorious. A shining example of our resilience has been our growth during the Covid-19 pandemic, which devastated almost all the countries of the world. While many other economies buckled during the pandemic, Bangladesh’s economy sustained only a modest setback.

While so much has been achieved, a lot still needs to be done. For example, Bangladesh needs to make progress in achieving following goals: Graduate officially from the status of the least developed country (LDC) by 2026; Satisfy conditions to meet the SDGs by 2030; Get ahead by embracing the benefits of Digital Bangladesh; Combat climate change through measures such as Mujib Climate Prosperity Plan (MCPP); and Fulfill the dream of being a developed country by 2041, and a sustainable delta by 2100. Meeting all these targets need a concerted effort, and iDEA is committed to be a part of that effort. In its relentless pursuit of the fulfillment of the country's development goals, iDEA welcomes collaboration and support from organizations, development partners, and fellow development practitioners. So, let us join hands, and together, make this journey worthwhile towards a better Bangladesh for our future generation.

Welcome to iDEA!
