Objectives of the Foundation
It is a non-government, non-profitable, non-political, voluntary and charitable organization. All the objects will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the Government/Concerned authority/competent authority before implementation of the objects and the objects contrary to the provision of Section 20 of the Act shall be treated as ineffective.
1. To conduct independent research, policy analysis, advocacy, advisory, and project implementations, dissemination and engagements for the socioeconomic development of Bangladesh. The ultimate goal is to enhance national development.
2. The areas of activities will include but may not be limited to poverty, safety net and vulnerabilities, energy, education, health, finance, digital economy, employment, industrial sector, gender, information and communication technology (ICT), legal affairs, water and sanitation, transport and other infrastructures, climate change, and migration and rehabilitation.
3. Carry out study, examination, evaluation, and feasibility of programs, projects, proposals and policies.
4. Provide guidance on project or program design, policy formulation, project implementation and evaluation, negotiation, and situation assessment.
5. Prepare concept notes, background papers, terms of references and implementation guidelines for programs, projects, prototypes, and pilots.
6. Implement and provide implementational supports for programs, projects, prototypes, and pilots.
7. Provide monitoring and evaluation support for programs, projects, prototypes, and pilots.
8. The services will be provided to the government; public, private, international, multinational and foreign organizations, institutions, and agencies; NGOs and development partners.
9. Publish policy notes and briefs, recommendations, reports, working papers, research papers, books and other forms of print and electronic media publications.
10. Disseminate findings in seminars, symposiums, conferences and media briefings incorporating academicians, researchers, practitioners of contemporary and significant issues in development sectors and contribute to the existing knowledge base.
11. Conduct workshops, training, and other capacity development programs to improve the human capital of Bangladesh.
12. Collaborate with experts, development organizations and agencies, universities, NGOs, development partners at home and abroad to carry out development works.
13. Motivate young researchers in development sectors and academics by showcasing them for authentic research and contribution in the development sector.
14. Identify the various community specific areas of skill development and works in collaboration with organizations to provide training in these areas to selected people/members from the community.
15. Create and spread awareness among the poor people from all walks of life on various important issues like climate change, farming methods, health issues and other basic rights through meetings with community groups and social awareness campaigns.
